I am interested in the idea of identity, its absence and how it defines who we are. I use visual metaphors, digital references and poems to communicate my ideas to provoke thought.

Take a piece of paper and crumple it up, now un-crumple it and get it back to its original state.”
- A suggestive metaphor for the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

My work comments on issues surrounding my own life and how I view the world around me, and at the same time reflect social issues going on now such as the increasing use of social media.
There is a complex relationship between what some choose to show online and the reality that people choose to hide. With the growing influence of social media, it has almost taken over our everyday lives, restricting social interactions and communications, becoming limited to online presence, using technology as a primary form of communication.

I question whether it is too late. Has technology replaced basic human instinct separating us from people and the world around us?
