Studying film at Lancaster has been an exciting experience, mainly because it’s enabled me to enjoy
such a broader scope of cinema than I had previously, giving my own work a more solid theoretical
grounding. After years of talking about it I finally made my first film while studying at Lancaster,
alongside working with the Film Production Society and collaborating with local theatre company
VETO. After graduation I am going to spend a year away from academia to finish my novel and build
up my film portfolio, before pursuing either further education or film industry work in Scotland.
