Mimi (Yushi Sun) is an overseas student from China who works through painting. Most of her works focus on the challenges that international students face by bringing traditional Chinese elements into Western contemporary art. Her third year project focuses on international students’ mental health. Through extensive research she has explored the reasons why international students, especially Chinese students, have difficulties with studying abroad and their resposes to their different environments
