Louisa Ellen Grace’s practise produces art works that explore

transmogrification and alternative hybrid bodies as well as creating spatial experiences that investigates and potentially questions our knowledge of how we know ‘feminine’ bodies. Through a scholarly process of research and reading, she layers and fragments principles from areas of shamanism, witchcraft, folktales, mythology, alchemy, revisionist fiction and feminist criticism, creating a cultivated web of interrelationships. For her, this is a hermeneutic search for hidden meaning and interpreting of female existence beyond the superficial and millennial mythologies.
