COORDINATE
Caoimhe Cobley
Caoimhe’s artwork is focused primarily on self-identity through the medium of digital media, such as photography and video installations. In today’s society and generation, people use social media – Instagram for example – to post selfies that allow them to define how they are viewed: Caoimhe aims to tackle this within her art, to remove the mask and reveal the true person behind online personas. Her artwork has a sense of vulnerability as she is examining her own online presence, and how people view her online in comparison to in person. The videos and photography Caoimhe presents are explorations of her own image, she addresses how her appearance changes but also while staying consistent in her everyday life.
